In 2010, AVDESIGNS started as a small outfit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The founder, Jimmy Yap, identified that there was a need in Cambodia for a Qualified Audio-Visual Systems Integrator, capable of designing and installing quality integrated audio-visual systems for various sector like Hospitality, Corporate, Government and even Residentials.
Today, AVDESIGNS has established itself as the eminent Audio-Visual Systems Integrator in Cambodia, providing quality and reliable products and services.
AVDESIGNS only works with Reputable International Audio-Visual Brands, and distribute their products throughout Cambodia.
AVDESIGNS is also a Qualified Acoustics & Noise Control Consultancy, with its principal, Jimmy Yap, being a qualified Acoustician.
JIMMY YAP

Jimmy started his Audio Visual career from the age of 16, and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Audio Engineering, from Southern Cross University, Australia and later on, his Diploma in Acoustics & Nose Control from the Institute of Acoustics, UK.
Over the course of his 33+ years in the Audio Visual Industry he has worked in various facets of the industry internationally. This has given him very unique insights into the workings of the Audio Visual Industry, and have proven very valuable to the clients and associates he partners with.
Ever the believer in continual training and education, in and post 2000, he was instrumental in structuring and conducting a series of well-received and highly-rated Audio trainings, in his native Singapore.
Being proficient in Architectural Acoustics and Noise Isolation & Control, he has worked with various Churches, Studios, Hospitality and Corporate venues, as a Consultant and Designer. In 2022 and in line with his belief in continual education, he obtained his Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control from the Institute of Acoustics (UK), becoming a certified Acoustician.
Keeping himself on the edge of Acoustics and Audio Visual technology is also paramount, as such he has trained for and is a proficient user of EASE, EASERA, SMAART, SIM, SYMNET, HIQNET, Q-SYS, SOUNDFLOW, WYSIWYG, RF EXPLORER, WIRELESS DESIGNER and many other systems/softwares.
In 2010, Jimmy moved to Cambodia and started AV DESIGNS. He saw that Cambodia then, required an expert Acoustician and a competent Audio Visual expertise. And in the current state of economic development, even more so today.
With his knowledge and experience in Acoustics and Audio Visual Systems coupled with his unique international insights and friendly style of consulting and designing, AV DESIGNS would be perfect partner for any International Business venturing and operating in Cambodia.
